Significant Specific Heat of Soil

  1. The experiment asked the question “will the grasses continue to grow after the frost(s) set in? And the answer was, yes! Why? The specific heat (SH) of soil. SH is a property: resisting T change. Water has a very high SH (ever swim in the ocean on the east coast in November, when its snowing on Thanksgiving day? I have! The water was nice n warm!)
